The Archaeological Complex of Wari was the capital of the first Andean Empire and also the first Andean urban city that flourished between the sixth and eleventh centuries AD. You’ll see the extraordinary stone architecture, based on edged and carved stone, water channels and underground drainage, the Royal Tomb of Lord Wari, main Temple, the Mausoleums of Cheqowasi, and others.
The Sanctuary Pampa de Ayacucho, Pampa de Quinua, was the scene of the battle of Pampa de Ayacucho and sealed the Independence of Peru and America. You’ll be able to see the imposing obelisk 44 meters high, the American freedom icon.
The Villa de la Quinoa is famous for its Site Museum and Chapter Room located in Plaza Mayor. You’ll also visit famous master potters.
